These are some of my creative side projects reflecting my technical approach to design and creation. Most of my designs I draw out and measure in great detail, often going through multiple iterations before coming to a final product. These are in fact all manufactured and sold products, not just renders or one-offs.

valac clip cord v4
One of my favourite creations, a solution to a problem that many tattoo artists were facing. Cheap cables would break at a rate faster then you could order a new one, so I decided to create one myself. Earlier versions used a full spring steel body but through feedback and improvement I came to the V4, a sturdy, long life cable. Protected cable weaved in multiple layers coming together with a splitter style junction. The aluminium centrepiece holding it all together.
Gunner foot pedal
A fun project, find a way to get as light as possible yet stay big and functional.. This 75 gram foot pedal is the ideal tool for the on-the-go artist who uses clip cords and wants to keep it minimal. A slim body made out of aluminium and lightweight components, crafted to withstand even the heaviest boots and longest of uses.
Ace rotary tattoo machine
A technical challenge, this beautiful Ace machine was designed with precision and clean motion in mind. It’s appropriate movement goes in harmony with either a traditional needle or a cartridge setup, while the Faulhauber motor does the heavy yet smooth lifting. Made with multiple stroke options and a simple yet elegant RCA connection. Clean, elegant and yet so powerful.
Cartridge grips
These lightweight aluminium cartridge grips were originally sold in combination with the ACE machine, but as stand-alone were also of great use. Making use of the standard grip size, these units fit just about every machine and made it easy for everyone to switch for a cartridge setup.
Little mouse foot pedal
It does look a little like a mouse no? The little mouse foot pedal, small and practical for the every day action. A clean aluminium casing with additional bottom weight, accompanied with a smooth hold switch or permanent option for the long lasting sessions. Easy for the RCA, and very easy to clean.
RCA CABLE
The humble RCA, using a similar cord design as the Valac clip cord. It transfers power easy and is available in many different lengths to whatever the artist desired. Practical and reliable.
Aurora foot pedal
A true show, and one with a serious weight issue. This mass of over half a kilo worth of steel was truly a ‘solid’ foot pedal. Integrated with a permanent switch offering a dual usage and accompanying all needs.
One of my very first designs to hit large scale production and usher in a creative frenzy.
